These days, you can find all kinds of people who offer ways to whiten
your smile. But most of the available bleaching methods involve several
weeks of treatments, cumbersome mouth trays, and relatively limited shade
improvements. Until now. Dr. Carano is pleased to be one of five dentists
in Texas authorized to offer you the revolutionary, safe, and easy 'Brite
Smile' process. With just a one-hour treatment session, this method
can lighten your teeth up to eight shades from their current color, with
no sensitivity problems and incredibly long-lasting results!
Safe & Effective, A Worthwhile Elective
If you're interested in having your smile brightened, we recommend that
you first talk with Dr. Carano regarding your specific goals regarding
your teeth, and how teeth whitening might impact your particular situation.
Some people are simply better candidates than others for a successful
whitening treatment. For example, if your teeth are darkened to a yellow,
brownish or orange tinge due to age, coffee, tea, or smoking, chances
are very good that teeth whitening will bring you very satisfactory results.
About 90 percent of patients find this to be the case. However, if your
teeth are a dark gray tone from fluorosis, smoking or tetracycline use,
whitening results may be a bit less dramatic. And it's important to know
that whitening does not lighten artificial materials such as resins, silicants
or porcelains. Finally, teeth with periodontal disease or worn enamel
typically do not respond well to whitening.
Supervised & Systematic
Once you've decided to become a 'Brite Smile' person, the process is quite
simple. First, Dr. Carano will spend time answering any questions you
may have. After confirming the health of your teeth and gums, we'll prepare
you for the procedure by protecting your gums and mouth with isolation
materials and taking a 'before' photograph. Next, Dr. Carano will apply
a special gel to your teeth, which he'll activate via a blue plasma gas
lamp treatment for about 20 minutes. Over the next hour, he'll repeat
this process two more times, bringing your teeth to their brightest white.
When the third application is finished, you'll simply rinse, smile for
your 'after' picture, and leave with a brand new, beautiful white smile.
Spectacular & Shiny
In most cases, the 'Brite Smile' system leaves teeth about eight shades
lighter than their original color, as indicated on Dr. Carano's shade
guide. And of course, your new, brighter smile will be preserved the longest
if you're willing to forgo such habits as smoking, drinking coffee and
drinking tea. After one to five years, should you notice that the new
color has become less bright, you may choose to have a touch-up. Which
is why we provide you with a special 'touch-up' tray and instructions
for using it at home' a process that's simple to conduct and effective
for long-term maintenance.
